How long does a sump pump usually last?
Many sump pumps last about 5 to 7 years, though actual service life varies with pump quality, how often it runs, water volume, installation conditions and maintenance.

Do I need a battery backup?

Why is water puddling near the exterior discharge?
When the water table is high and the system is moving a large amount of groundwater, some temporary puddling near the discharge area can be normal. We evaluate the discharge location as part of the overall system.
Will a sump pump solve every basement water problem?
No. A sump pump removes water that reaches its basin. Water entering where the basement wall meets the floor, through foundation walls or from another source may require an interior drainage system or a different solution.
