B-Dry® System Installation
How the B-Dry® System Works
The B-Dry® Basement Waterproofing System is installed inside your basement, beneath the floor along the interior perimeter. This allows it to collect water about 8–12 inches below the surface, where leaks typically begin.
We start by cutting a narrow trench and preparing the edge of your floor so new concrete bonds perfectly with the existing slab. Before sealing the system, our team attaches a flexible plastic barrier to the base of your foundation wall. This barrier captures any wall seepage and channels it directly into the drain system.
If your basement has finished walls (paneling or drywall), we carefully leave a small access space behind them so the system continues to perform effectively without damaging your finished areas. Once installed, the new concrete dries to a smooth, clean light-gray finish.
Smart Water Control – Not Just a Drain
As groundwater rises beneath your floor, it flows into the B-Dry® drainage pipe and is carried by gravity to a sealed sump well. Inside that well, we install high-performance sump pumps, protected under a durable lid.
Any moisture or seepage from cracks or imperfections in your foundation wall is safely diverted behind the barrier into the same drainage path. When enough water collects in the sump, an automatic electric pump activates and discharges the water — usually in just 10–15 seconds — then shuts off until needed again.
To ensure reliability, we install two electric pumps for most systems: one primary and one backup. Both operate together only when necessary, providing maximum protection during heavy rainfall.
For extra peace of mind, we also offer an optional battery backup system (power inverter and deep-cycle marine battery), which keeps your sump pump working even during power outages.

Because water can’t be eliminated — only managed — we ensure it’s moved away from your foundation to a suitable exterior location. During periods of high groundwater, some puddling outdoors is normal and expected.
