Interior French Drain Systems for Wet Basements
Interior French drain systems collect groundwater below the basement floor and direct it to a sump basin before it can spread across your basement.
How interior French drain systems collect water below the floor
Groundwater can rise beneath the basement slab or enter where the foundation wall meets the floor. An interior French drain creates a controlled path for that water below the finished floor surface.
The B‑Dry system uses a drainage trench, clean stone, perforated pipe and a wall membrane to collect water and carry it by gravity to the sump basin. The sump pump then moves the collected water through the discharge line and away from the basement.

- Designed around the conditions in your home
- Available as a full-perimeter or partial system
- Installed French drain portion receives the applicable transferable lifetime warranty

Four parts working together
The system is planned as one continuous path from the source of the water to the exterior discharge.
Collect
Groundwater and wall seepage enter the drainage area below the floor.
Channel
Clean stone and perforated pipe create a reliable route through the interior trench.
Move
Water flows by gravity through the drain and into the sump basin.
Discharge
The sump pump sends the collected water through piping to an appropriate exterior location.

Built around utilities, equipment and the way your basement is used
Basements rarely offer a perfectly open path. Furnaces, water heaters, stairs, finished walls and utility lines all affect the installation plan. Our team evaluates those conditions and determines the most practical drainage route, sump location and discharge path.
A partial system may be appropriate when water is limited to one area. When only part of the drainage system is installed, that installed portion still receives the applicable transferable lifetime warranty.
This is interior basement waterproofing. We do not use exterior excavation, and we do not present remodeling or structural foundation repair as part of this service.

Not sure where the water is coming from?
A free basement evaluation lets us inspect the conditions, identify the likely water path and recommend the appropriate system—not a one-size-fits-all package.
Professional results from actual customer basements
Once the system is installed, the trench is re-cemented and the work area is cleaned.

Read About Our Lifetime WarrantyWhat homeowners ask about interior French drains
What is an interior French drain?
It is a drainage system installed below the basement floor along the interior perimeter or another planned route. It collects groundwater and wall seepage, then directs that water to a sump basin.
Does installation require digging outside my foundation?
No. The B‑Dry drainage system is installed from inside the basement, so it does not require excavating around the exterior foundation.
How does the water reach the sump basin?
The drainage pipe is installed with a planned route that allows collected water to move by gravity through the system and into the sump basin.
Can you install only part of the basement?
Yes. A partial system can be appropriate when the water problem is limited to one area. We determine the appropriate route after evaluating the basement.
Is a partial drainage system warrantied?
Yes. The installed French drain portion receives the applicable transferable lifetime warranty, even when it is not a full-perimeter installation.
Will the floor be repaired after installation?
Yes. After the drainage components are installed, new concrete is placed over the trench and the work area is cleaned.
Does every French drain system need a sump pump?
The collected water must be directed to an appropriate removal point. In most homes we serve, that means a properly sized sump pump and discharge system. We evaluate the complete water path before recommending equipment.
How do I know whether an interior drain is right for my basement?
